"Not Just a Pretty Face" from Essie Summer 2009 Collection
A while ago, I posted a review on "Chubby Cheeks" from Essie summer 2009 collection. Today, I am going to share with you the other shade I bought from this collection. "Not Just a Pretty Face" is one of the six shades from Essie summer '09 collection. It is a light nude crème with pink hues.

I love wearing girly pink nail colors! But some of the pink nail polishes I tried in the past have too much blue undertones to be overly bright for my liking. "Not Just a Pretty Face" has a good balance between warm and cool tones.
With one coat, it gives a milky, sheer nude shade with a faint hint of pink, which enhances the skin of my hands nicely. You can increase the intensity of the cool-toned pink with more coats. With at least two coats, it imparts a subtle opaque pink with a hint of nude.
The formula is smooth and easy to apply. But my OPI's crème-based nail polishes like "Trickle My Francey" and "Baguette Me Not" (from OPI fall 2008 France Collection) seem to glide on even smoother and more evenly.
The drying time and lasting power of "Not Just a Pretty Face" are decent.
"Not Just a Pretty Face" from Essie summer 2009 collection is subtle and girly. I think it is a very wearable and versatile shade that compliments the looks for different occasions and all seasons. If you like pink with less blue undertones or if you like light nude with a hint of pink, this is a great color to check out!

I think this is also a good work-appropriate shade, although I think I like Eternal Optimist better! Thanks for the review!
Hi Beautyjudy,
Thank you for posting your comment!
Yes, "Not Just a Pretty Face" is certainly a great work-appropriate color. The pink nude shade of "Eternal Optimist" is also one of my favorites! :)
Best,
BA
