Jill Stuart Pure Brightening Day Care Powder
Jill Stuart will release Pure Brightening Day Care Powder (SPF15 PA++) on March 20th in Japan. From the photo obtained from Jill Stuart Beauty's Japanese website, it looks like a face powder with sun protection. However, the name is pretty much self-explanatory; it provides a skin brightening effect.
In fact, Pure Brightening Day Care Powder is labeled as medicated. It is a skin care powder which provides sun protection, controls excessive sebum production and sweating, prevents acne problems, and promotes a skin brightening effect at the same time.
The key ingredients includes vitamin C derivative (for skin brightening), stearyl glycyrrhetinic (for anti-bacteria and acne prevention), peppermint extract (for excess sweat and sebum control), strawberry juice and raspberry (for moisturization).
It is scented with a sweet fruity and floral fragrance. The case (1,575 Japanese Yen) and refill (3,500 Japanese Yen) are sold separately. Pure Brightening Day Care Powder as a whole retails for 5,250 Japanese Yen (about $53 USD). I am very interested to see how it performs the skincare and makeup functions. It is definitely on my wish list along with the latest powder foundations from Coffret D'Or and Esprique Precious for final decision making.

Hello! Do you know if it's possible to buy this from the US?
Hello Winnie,
Jill Stuart Beauty is currently not available in the US. The brand will make its debut at Jill Stuart's flagship store in SoHo district of NYC in late spring/early summer.
I usually buy Japanese cosmetics products from online retail stores like Ichibankao, Adam Beauty and Gooddealer.
Ichibankao and Gooddealer carries many items from Jill Stuart. Pure Brightening Care Powder will be released on March 20th in Japan. It is likely that this item will be in stock in those two stores around that time.
I hope the information helps.Let me know if you have any further questions.
Thank you very much for the information! :D
Hello Winnie,
You are welcome. :) Do let me know what you think of Pure Brightening Care Powder if you get to try it out.

I received the Pure Brightening Care Powder yesterday and tried it this morning. Perhaps I'm using it incorrectly, but when I used the enclosed powder puff to apply just a small amount on my nose, my nose looked almost completely white! I ended up not applying it to my entire face...
The powder itself looks light pink/beige in the compact, and I'm not sure how to apply it on my face without looking deathly pale...do you have any tips? Thanks!
Dear Winnie,
Thank you so much for keeping me posted on Pure Brightening Day Care Powder. I am so sorry that it didn't work out for you.
I am not sure why the powder makes your skin look completely white rather than giving a natural-looking finish.
I haven't had a chance to try it. I am sorry that I am not able to provide you with useful tips on this powder. But I will look for any information about it online, and will get back to you as soon as I can. :)
Hope you have a great weekend!
All the best,
BA
