Do You Like to Collect Small Sample Containers?

From a customer's point of view, part of the fun of shopping for beauty products is receiving extra free sample packages, whether they are gift-with-purchase or simply free-of-charge. From a company's sampling strategy, it is all about getting the customers to consider its products. It builds a relationship with customers, and give customers time to choose the right product(s) that works for them.

Who doesn't love beauty samples?
Sampling is the best way I get to explore new lines or products and find out something suitable for my skin type. I love beauty sample(s) for their cute miniature packaging that are convenient for use during traveling. As a makeup lover, those cute or special design sample containers become part of my makeup collection too. What about you? Do you also like to collect small sample containers?

I love sample containers! When I'm done with the sample, I use it to store my moisturizer etc. to put in my gym bag.

Hello Beautytalk,

Thank you very much for commenting!

I like to collect cute small containers as well. For flight and travel, I use them to store lotion/cream in my cosmetics bag.

Thanks a lot for sharing!

I take all my small containers & put them right in my travel bag. That way, I don't have to worry about running out of something-- I always have a little extra.

Hello Adrian,

Thank you very much for stopping by!

I like to store moisturizer/ facial lotion and hand cream in small containers, and tote them with me everywhere I go. Sometimes, I do like the feeling that I always have a little extra.

:)

Thanks a lot for sharing!

Ohhh, I love samples. And this weekend has been a bonus for me, since Bath & Body Works had their beauty craving event - ended up with a free full size body wash and lotion. Then I was at Kohl's today and was given a neat sample bag that had 7 perfume samples and skincare samples, too. In addition, a full size eyeshadow was in there, also. Love the surprises, but samples are the best to get a girl hooked. :)

I never really thought about collecting sample containers before until we couldn't bring regular sized products onto airplanes.

Now, whenever I have a ton of samples lying around that I haven't used, I'll bring them with me when I travel to test them out. And if I discover that I love them so much, I'll just refill the sample container to haul around with me ;)

Hello oldergirlbeauty,

I agree with you. We beauty $ makeup lovers like the little surprises of receiving free samples.

I am glad to hear you had a great time shopping last weekend. I didn't know about Bath & Body Works's beauty event. (Is it ending soon?) I will stop by their stores to check out the Anti-Bacterial line.

Thank you very much for sharing! Hope to hear from you again!

Dear Lilan,

Good to hear from you again!

That is a good point! Samples in small sizes become more practical use after full sized liquids and gels are not allowed to bring onto airplanes.

In addition, I like to bring small-size samples with me when I travel. They offer light weight and ease of use.

Thank you very much for sharing! Hope you have a great day!

BA,

It was one of their twice a year "Beauty Cravings" event. They have them at the flagship stores. I just happened to see a posting announcing it was coming up and to RSVP. It was from 9am to 11am that morning.

Also, since I posted, I have now gotten my friend hooked on samples, thanks to a chance to get a Kimora frangrance sample. :)

Have a great day!!

Hi!
Yes, I do store small sample containers either, or better to say, most of them, hehe... ;)

Because sometimes I receive samples of moisturizers for example that completely doesn't suit my skin type.

And due to the fact that my skin is quite sensitive, I'm very careful.

Nevertheless, still love collecting them and giving suitable ones to my sister and friends!

Hello Jess,

Thank you very much for stopping by!

I agree with you. Small samples are travel-wise. I like to store my cosmetic bag with travel-size versions of cream & lotion. It saves me so much space.

Part of the fun part for me is I love to collect cute containers as a cosmetics/skincare collector.I want to keep all the small, cute containers for my collection!

Thanks a lot for sharing!!!!
:)

Cheers,
