Many western cosmetics brands have increasingly create exclusive lines and limited-edition products for the market in Asia. In Feb 2008, Chanel launched limited-edition Highlighting Powders Duo exclusive to Asia. The pressed highlighting powder costs around USD$55.
The duo highlighter compact is composed of two face powders in white and lilac. The white shade is ideal for highlighting the forehead, browbone, cheekbone, or the chin. The lilac color is for evening out the yellowish skin undertones or dull skin. Both powders can be worn alone to highlight single spots on the face. Or, they can be mixed together and applied over the face for a luminous and bright radiance.
What makes this Highlighting Powders Duo special and become a collectible are the Chanel logo and its signature quilted design embedded in the powders. The white face powder is embedded with Chanel's overlapping double "C" letters. The lilac face powder features Chanel's signature quilted design motifs.
The classy sleek colors and packaging design of Chanel Highlighting Powders Duo really appeal to me. I wish they created the Highlighting Powders Duo in more color combinations for its fans in other countries outside Asia.
