All A-Bordeaux The Sled! from OPI Winter 2009 Holiday Wishes Collection

All A-Bordeaux The Sled! from OPI Winter 2009 Holiday Wishes Collection

All A-Bordeaux The Sled! from OPI's winter 2009 Holiday Wishes Collection is one of the three shades that I bought from the recent holiday nail color collections. The color is a deep wine crème with brown undertones. It was the boldest and vampiest color I bought last year.

The pigment is very rich and intense. The application, however, is a disappointment. When a light coat is applied, it looks streaky and uneven. A heavier coat of this color in each application is required for a smooth, streak-free finish.

With one coat, it is a deep plum red with brown undertones. With two coats or more, it is a blackened wine shade with a glossy finish that looks nearly black in dim light.

The lasting power is good. The vampy, dark wine shade of All A-Bordeaux The Sled! makes it a fun, bold and fashionable statement for wintertime. It is such a shame that the application is streaky and uneven.
