DHC Deep Cleansing Oil

DHC Deep Cleansing Oil

I have mentioned DHC Deep Cleansing Oil on my blog before. It is now the time I share all the good things why I love this makeup remover so much. DHC is a direct mail skincare company from Japan. It started with just three beauty products. Since then, the company has developed various beauty and health products. It has now expanded their market worldwide. I am pleasantly surprised to find that it is quite easy and simple to shop at DHC's US website! The best thing is the pricing does not dramatically double up like other Japanese brands in the US such as Shiseido, Kose, or Kanebo. Furthermore, I found there are some DHC items sold in the US that are actually cheaper than in Asia.

For a long time, I have been pretty loyal to Shu Uemura's cleansing oils. In the past time, I once tried different makeup removers from Fancl and RMK (honestly, they are all excellent makeup removers). During that time, I always wanted to try DHC Deep Cleansing Oil because I heard many people rave about it. At the end, I was lured away by Shu Uemura's cleansing oils because I was too afraid the olive oil based ingredient would be overwhelming for my skin. It was not until a couple months ago, my Shu Uemura High Performance Balancing Cleansing Oil Light (this item is discontinued) ran out, DHC came on to my shopping list. I was thinking to give it a try. And, the result was outstanding!

DHC Deep Cleansing Oil doesn't have fragrance, although its golden yellow color just looks like the olive oil in kitchen. If fragrance is put into comparison, Shu Uemura, RMK or Fancl are slightly better with the smell than DHC. DHC Deep Cleansing Oil smells quite "natural" to me. It has a hint of olive oil. To me, the smell is not really bothersome. I believe it has something to do with the value and philosophy that the company wants to produce products without adding unnecessary coloring agents or irritating fragrances.

Compared to other makeup removers like Shu Uemura or Fancl, the texture of DHC Deep Cleansing Oil is thicker. It is a little harder to spread over and apply on the face at the beginning. However, it dissolves my makeup easily and quickly. It cleans up all types of makeup, dirt, and even those waterproof black eyeliner gel and mascara. On the part of washing off the waterproof makeup part, I personally feels DHC does a better job than Shu Uemura. The olive oil based ingridents deliver a gentile feeling, however, it doesn't turn my face greasy, itchy or dry after I wash my face. It feels totally clean and supple! Price for 6.7 fl. oz. is $24, an affordable price for such a good quality product.

Hello, Janey,

Thanks for stopping by my blog.

DHC Cleansing Oil is really quite a gentle product. The big advantages are it removes the makeup very easily and leaves my face nice and supple. I love it!

I hope it will work great with you too!

Hello,

I recently started using the DHC Cleansing Oil after reading all the rave reviews. I must say that it seems to work pretty well. I am 37 years old and still struggle with very oily skin and breakouts. The Cleansing Oil actually adds moisture and softness to my skin whereas other cleansers end up stripping my skin which causes the production of even more oil. With such a dry winter in the Southeast, the Cleansing Oil has been a godsend

Hi there,

As far as I know, DHC is available online in the US, UK, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and South Korea.

Here are the related links about where DHC is available.
1.http://www.dhccare.com/DHC/CustomerService/FAQ.aspx
2.http://www.dhcuk.co.uk/defaults/index.do

I am not sure if you are from these countries where DHC is available at this point. May I know where you live currently?

Let me know if there is anything else I can help you with.

Best regards,

BA

I have VERY dry skin in my T zone. I have had red blotches for years and psorisis like flakes. Last month I received a free sample of this cleaning oil. My skin felt so wonderful for 3 days after I used it. So I ordered a bottle from DHC(along with the velvet skin cream). Now all my blotches are gone, my skin is moist and supple. I feel like a princess. My skin is more beautiful than my 15 year old daughters. I may have to share my secret with her.

Hi Miss.O,

Thank you for stopping by!

I have used all the formulations of Shu Uemura Cleansing Oils except the latest CLEANSING BEAUTY OIL PREMIUM. They are still very good makeup removals. They really work great with me.

Like you said, a bottle of Shu Uemura cleansing oil is kind of costly. I found DHC Cleansing Oil provides with me the same result, and the price is much more affordable. I hope you will like it too. Let me know what you think if you try it out.

Thanks a lot for commenting!

Hi there,

I am not sure if you are interested to buy DHC products at online beauty stores. If you want,I kind of know there is an online beauty store that deals with overseas shipping.

Here is the URL: http://www.bgo.com.tw

BGO is a Taiwan-based online beauty store. I have purchased with BGO for a couple of times. Their service is friendly, and shipping is prompt. You can find DHC products at BGO.

BGO website is in Chinese. Let me know if you need help browsing the website.

Thanks a lot for stopping by!

Best,

DHC's Cleansing Oil is one of those products that seem to be universally appreciated. While I don't use it every night, I find it extremely effective as an exfoliant. I use prescription Tazorac nightly which, while being very helpful in keeping my skin clear and smooth, also causes occasional flakiness. The oil is wonderful at sloughing off all of the dead skin cells, making the Tazorac that much more effective. Everyone who has used DHC's oil has said they love it and usually end up buying a bottle for themselves. This is definitely a product that I will continue to keep on hand.

Hi there,

Thank you for posting you comment! DHC Deep Cleansing Oil has quite a big fan base across countries. I am glad you like it too!

You have brought up a point that the oil helps slough off the dead skin on your face efficiently. I haven't been able to find if the oil is effective as an exfoliant for my skin. I will pay more attention on this part.

Thanks a lot for sharing!

Cheers,

Hi..
I'm so happy to find your blog about the this DHC.My questions is Do you use this product on clean face in the morning (without make up at all)??
I read every article about this product it says this product is makeup remover.I usually use Estee Lauder...first thing I have to use "make up remover " then followed by regular cleanser...and the next morning when my face is clean without make up..I have to use regular cleanser only.
Please let me know
Note:sorry about my english.english is not my 1st languange.

Hi Emon,

Thank you very much for stopping by my blog.

DHC Deep Cleansing Oil is an oil-based cleanser designed to dissolve makeup, and remove dirt, excess oil and makeup effectively. I only use DHC Deep cleansing Oil as a makeup remover, followed by a regular cleanser. In the morning when my face has no makeup, I prefer to use a foam or creamy facial cleanser to wash my face.

Let me know if you have any other questions about it. :)

Sincerely,

BA
